North Fork Camp is a new facility being constructed by the Girl Scouts Gateway Council of Jacksonville, Florida. This facility will be about 50% complete at the time of this meeting and camp professionals from the Southeast are invited to tour the facility and view the design plans.

This event is FREE and lunch will be provided, courtesy of Brandstetter Carroll Inc., project architects.

Attendees will learn about program offerings for the Girl Scout membership during construction (check out our girls' blog) as well as what is expected for the future and community partnership we are developing. Opportunities will be available to speak with staff and contractors about the process of master site planning.

Of specific interest may be:

  • Drip field irrigation system
  • Zero entry pool and salt/chlorine generation filtration system
  • Variances needed
  • Fish relocation project
  • Sustainable/environmentally friendly building design choices
(USGBC LEED concepts applied and followed, although site will not seek LEED certification)
  • Seeking input on where to place a low ropes course on site

APPROPRIATE DRESS
