The Camp Season is quickly coming to an end and we do hope it was a safe, successful and FUN summer for all! We have much to share with you, so please do keep reading to the end… and please share with other staff members as you wish!
ACA Southeastern Camping Conference Update! For more information about the pre-conference session with Jim Cain, the hotel, our special programs, speakers, and how to register, check out the website at http://www.acasoutheastern.org/conf/2007.php . We have great sessions being offered, opportunities to talk with other camp professionals and opportunities to play! Don’t miss out on this great educational event!
Need a little Help? ACA Southeastern wants to let you know there is financial assistance available for any member to attend the Fall Conference (or other educational opportunities). Basic requirements include: ACA membership, a strong commitment to the camping profession and a willingness to write a short article to share with others about the event. An application can be found at http://www.acasoutheastern.org/conf/scholarshipapp.pdf and, to be considered for the Fall Conference, must be returned no later than Friday, August 17. Recipients will be notified no later than August 24.
Section Awards (Individual and Program): We KNOW there are many dedicated people who contribute a great deal and some incredible programs happening! Now is your opportunity to help appropriately recognize them. Check out the awards available at: http://www.acacamps.org/southeastern/nominations.php

Section and National Board Nominations: ACA Southeastern is now seeking nominations for the following Section Board positions: Secretary (3 year term), Vice President (3 year term), Georgia District Chair (3 year term), North Carolina District Chair (3 year term) and one Council of Delegate Member.
