News to Use - June 12, 2006

Summer’s here and we hope things are going well for you… whether you are at camp or involved in another aspect of the camp community!  We have a few quick, yet important updates to share.

HOTEL CHANGE FOR FALL CONFERENCE!

Due to unforeseen circumstances (beyond our control) the ACA Southeastern Section Board made the decision to change hotel for the upcoming conference!  It is literally “just down the road” from the original site and will be just as good! The 2006 ACA Southeastern Camping Conference will now be held at the Marriot Executive Park in Charlotte, NC! It has easy access off Interstate 77, free shuttle to the airports, FREE Parking, additional restaurants in close proximity (walking distance), a very nice outside patio area, sand volleyball court, easy to find conference meeting rooms/exhibit hall, etc.   Room rates are $139/single/double.  Call the Marriot directly for reservations (704-527-9650).  And, check out http://www.acasoutheastern.org/conf/2006.php for the most up to date information regarding the conference (speakers, list of exhibitors, registration information…). It will be a conference you don’t want to miss!
